Saturday Weigh In - 03/24

Another fantastic week... BUT, not without consequences! Monday I jogged 2 miles non-stop in the rain! I really enjoyed jogging in the rain - I did not, however, enjoy pushing my 3 year old son in the stroller as I jogged. He insisted on coming with me despite my begging him to stay home... Nevertheless, I was able to make 2 miles and I got teary-eyed when I updated my daily journal because it felt like such a huge accomplishment!

Tuesday I woke up with a terrible back ache. I must have slept in the wrong position but I just couldn't get out of bed until well after 9am! I skipped my morning walk/jog and decided I would go in the evening when hubby came home. I discovered I enjoy jogging in the dark much better than even the rain; and without kids in tow! I went 2.5 miles non-stop - AWESOME!

Wednesday I went in the evening again and did another 2.5 miles - I wanted to try and go a little longer but hubby needed me back home. Unfortunately, however, my super comfy Nike running shoes finally reached their prime and I could feel it in my feet! I decided to get out my new pair of running shoes I bought a couple weeks before because 1) I found an amazing deal on them and 2) I knew I was going to need a new pair soon.

The next day my feet were still fairly sore but I decided to go on my walk/jog anyway - I made it 1.25 miles before I had to stop jogging because my feet and back were killing me. I managed to continue walking to finish my workout... Friday I kept it easy with a simple walk - hoping to condition my feet to no avail. I jogged/walked a total of 15.86 miles and burned over 4,100 calories this week!

Today my feet are still bothering me but thankfully it's a rest day. I'm going to go to Movin Shoes to have my feet reevaluated based on a recommendation from a friend because she thinks I'm not in the right shoes (although my old pairs were extremely comfy - the newer version of my ones aren't as comfy).

This weeks results - drumroll, please....

Current weight: 254.4
Last week's weight: 256.8

Difference: -2.4 lbs
Total lost: -21.6 lbs

Serena, the girl on fire! (My fellow Hunger Games fans will appreciate this - hehe) I feel more and more motivated as the weeks go on and I see the hard work paying off! I wanted to post a 20 pound loss picture but my face is cherry red from the sunburn I got yesterday from taking the kids to the park - so I will the picture next week, God willing!

As always - thank you to everyone for your support and encouragement!
